Christian Audigier was born in the southern-French city of Avignon. From the beginning, he was attracted to the style that is rock and roll. He wanted to follow in the footsteps of Mick Jagger but lacked the singing voice. He found his calling with fashion.
In the last twenty years, Christian Audigier has left an indelible mark on the world of fashion, working with everyone from Diesel to Naf Naf to Von Dutch, with which he is credited for bringing from relative obscurity to a fashion powerhouse in the early 2000’s.
He left Von Dutch in 2004 in search of a story; he found it in Ed Hardy, the godfather of tattoo. Christian’s vision has taken the art of tattoo and brought it to a realm reserved for only the hottest fashion brands in the world. His loyal following includes such luminaries as Jessica Alba, Jamie Foxx, Brad Pitt, Paris Hilton, and Mariah Carey.
Not willing to rest on his laurels, he has now created the signature Christian Audigier line. The collection pays tribute to California culture like none other has before, fusing the best elements of tattoo, hot rod, and cholo culture along with a tinge of his native French heritage. The brand is rock and roll with soul, California through and through.
